It's all I've got and I'd like to get my first topwater bite off of something other than inline spinners. Can't really use Zoom flukes because every size of fluke they have is bigger than the natural baitfish, which are Western Mosquitofish(1.6 in.). All I've got to spool my reel is this 8 lb test mono and the smallest hard-bodied topwater I've got is this 2 in. Pop-R. I've got a micro spinnerbait as well, but that might as well be an inline. It's so boring after 15 years of nothing but trout fishing, but I digress. Will 8 lb mono or 10 lb fluoro work for walking/popping small topwaters, like a Pop-R?
